ICON Resin Infiltration
Many children have white spots on their front teeth. This is often due to exposure to excessive fluoride in childhood while the adult teeth were forming in the jaw. Other times, white spots develop during orthodontic treatment. Whatever the cause, these spots are harmless, but they can be quite noticeable. ICON resin infiltration is a minimally-invasive state-of-the-art treatment that can remove these white spots quickly and easily.
Cosmetic Bonding
Bonding is a simple cosmetic treatment that allows us to correct gaps, chips, and cracks. Accidents happen and when they do, we can repair the damage by using a tooth-colored composite material to restore, fill-in, and reshape your child’s teeth. We apply a small amount of bonding material to the damaged tooth, then we carefully sculpt it so it blends in perfectly with the adjacent teeth. After using a curing light to harden the material, your child will walk out of our office with a restored smile. Cosmetic bonding can last for years before needing to be replaced.

How can I remove the white spots on my child’s permanent teeth?
There are several reasons for white spots on permanent teeth however often the cause remains unknown. The spots are not able to be removed with a toothbrush or routine dental cleaning. However, we offer a new non-invasive treatment called ICON for treating white spots. It uses micro-abrasive technology to fill these spots without anesthesia or drilling. Ask your dentist if your child is a good candidate for ICON treatment.
